If you had met me years ago, you probably wouldn't have imagined I'd one day be writing books, speaking about faith, or encouraging others through life's most difficult seasons.

Honestly… neither would I.

There was a time in my life when addiction, homelessness, broken relationships, and hopelessness seemed to define my future. I know what it feels like to believe you've gone too far, made too many mistakes, or lost too much to ever experience restoration.

But God had a different story to write.

Through His grace, He patiently began rebuilding my life one step at a time once I finally opened my eyes to see how much God truly loves me.

My recovery journey led me through places that forever changed me, including programs that helped me discover hope when I had almost none left. Along the way, God restored my family, renewed my purpose, and showed me that His plans are always greater than our past.

Today, I have the privilege of living and serving in ways I never imagined. God has blessed me with a stable career, opportunities to build businesses, and the chance to give back in meaningful ways. I now sit on the Board of Directors for Home Point Housing—an organization that once helped me rebuild my own life after experiencing chronic homelessness.

One of the greatest lessons I've learned is that God rarely wastes our pain.

Many of the chapters of my life—including recovery, grief, disappointment, leadership transitions, and church hurt—have become the very places where God has grown my faith and shaped my calling. Rather than allowing those experiences to make me cynical, He has been teaching me how to pursue truth with grace, healing with humility, and restoration with hope. That journey ultimately led me to begin writing.

My first book, Passing the Torch Without Burning Bridges, grew from a desire to help churches navigate pastoral transitions with greater biblical wisdom, compassion, and care for the people entrusted to them.
